Celebrating Philadelphia's Hip-Hop Pioneers & Community Block Party
A Program featuring Paul Robeson House and Museum (Paul Robeson House and Museum)
About this Program
For the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop, the Paul Robeson House & Museum plans to convene a panel of Philadelphia's hip-hop pioneers to talk about the legacy of the music that has brought us so much joy, changed lives, and allowed us to speak truth to power in ways that echo the grand commitments of our namesake, Paul Robeson. After the panel, we invite families to stick around for an intergenerational block party with special guest DJ and community vendors + resource tables. This event also honors another tradition brought to the world of Black music from Philadelphia: Black Music Month!
