About this Program

Taking place May 26th in the middle school space 3:30-5:30pm, it's a chance for teens to learn some history about Black and Asian solidarity, explore their love of rap music and anime and even create an anime rapper. We’ll have Nujabes, a leader in Lofi beats and talk about his influence and influences. We’ll also discuss how anime went from a nerd thing to something the coolest rappers aren’t afraid to represent and how in turn anime has created characters to pay homage to black culture.
