Macon Record Club: A Tribe Called Quest

A Program featuring Brooklyn Public Library (Brooklyn Public Library)

Program Hosted By

About this Program

Join fellow music lovers to discuss the meanings and memories of classic albums from the Brooklyn Public Library's Vinyl Collection! We'll be continuing our celebration of hip-hop's fiftieth anniversary by listening to and discussing the lightning-in-a-bottle three-album run that launched A Tribe Called Quest into the rap pantheon. People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, The Low End Theory, and Midnight Marauders are not just stellar canvases for Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed, Phife, and Jarobi's unique talents, but defining cornerstones of a decade, a scene, a movement.
