MoPOP's Online Hip-Hop Collection

A Program featuring MOPOP (Museum of Pop Culture)

Program Hosted By

About this Program

While several hundred objects from MoPOP’s collection are on display at any one time in the museum, more than 80,000 pieces are under our care.

We invite you to spark your pop culture curiosity through our online collection vault which features a sampling of artifacts within our permanent collection, selected by our curators and organized into content areas. MoPOP’s online hip-hop collection includes hip-hop flyers, classic vinyl, manuscripts, handwritten lyrics, photographs, graffiti materials, and technical instruments, hip-hop-related movies, urban street fashion, oral histories, and television. Additional objects and content areas will be added by our Curatorial and Collections team at a steady pace, with the ultimate goal of presenting our entire permanent collection to the public as an educational resource.

Visit www.mopop.org//collection/hip-hop/ to view our online hip-hop collection.

Collection curated by Adeerya Johnson, Digital Collections Archivist.
