Turn My Girl Up: A Storytelling of Hip Hop Beyond the Patriarchy

On Saturday March 25th from 4pm - 6pm at Music Town we are hosting a special storytelling event in partnership with D-Cipher; “Turn My Girl Up: A Storytelling of Hip Hop Beyond the Patriarchy”. Black Card’s Ellie Sandiego will moderate a panel discussion examining the absolutely crucial role of Black women in Hip-Hop. The panel will feature key players in the Detroit Hip Hop industry and Black women emcees; Boog Brown, Nique Love Rhodes, DJ Stacye J, and D.S.Sense And don’t forget to stay around for the Turn My Girl Up Cipher after the panel!
